2026 SUMMER SPECIAL Semester Detail


  • Classes are designed for those who wish to learn about the Korean language and culture.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age as of the first class.
  • Classes may be canceled without notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Maximum 20 students depending on the class.

Registration for the Next Session will be opened 2 weeks before the first day of each semester (14th of July, 00:00AM, PT).

Please note that our in-person classes do not issue certificates eligible for visa purposes.

※Tuition Refund & Level Change Policy: Any cancellation or refund requests must be received via email (ksicusa@ksif.or.kr) before the second session of the course. You may change your course level before this deadline if space is available, but once the class enters the second session of the semester, no cancellation, refund or level change will be permitted.

2026 SUMMER SPECIAL Semester Classes


[Summer Special] Introductory Korean
Fee:   $50.00
5:00P.M. - 6:50P.M. on Tuesday
In-Person

This introductory course is designed for students who are completely new to Korean or who are not yet comfortable reading and writing Hangeul (Korean alphabet). Students will learn Hangeul, practice reading simple words and sentences naturally, and develop basic communication skills through everyday greetings and expressions. By the end of the course, learners will be able to recognize and write Hangul letters, read basic words and sentences, and use simple greetings in everyday situations.

* Introductory Korean is for students who cannot yet read or write in Hangeul.

[Summer Special] BASIC A Conversation

5:00P.M. - 6:50P.M. on Tuesday
In-Person

During the course, first half of the textbook Sejong Korean 1A will be reviewed focusing on communicative skills. Students develop basic speaking and listening communication skills, based on chapters 1~4. This class is interactive with a focus on learner participation and basic conversation practice in Korean.

[Summer Special] BASIC B Conversation

In-Person

This course is designed for beginners to build foundational speaking and listening skills based on the second half of Sejong Korean 1A(Ch 5 ~ Ch 10). It covers basic pronunciation, essential vocabulary, and core grammar patterns necessary for everyday interactions. This class uses interactive exercises to develop conversational skills through grammatical accuracy and situational drills.

[Summer Special] BASIC C

The Summer Special Semester Korean Basic C Class will cover selected parts from the textbook "Sejong Korean 1B" that are considered most useful. Participants will study Korean that can be used in various situations such as shopping, while learning interrogatives, making suggestions, making comparisons, and describing the sequence of actions.

[Summer Special] INTERMEDIATE Conversation

Designed for intermediate-level learners, aiming to enhance communicative skills through expressions often used in everyday life. The class level is commensurate with Sejong Korean 2A.

[Summer Special] INTERMEDIATE Writing

7:00PM-8:50PM on Thursday
In-Person

This course is designed for intermediate-level learners focusing on improving accuracy and fluency in written Korean. This class helps students expand their vocabulary and grammar. Students will be introduced to intermediate-level Korean by reading authentic texts and writing short compositions and essays. Through a variety of writing activities, students will learn to organize ideas, express opinions, and write clear paragraphs and short compositions. The class level is commensurate with Sejong Korean 2B or 3A.

  • You can enter through Dunsmuir Ave.
  • No validation is needed, but please note that the parking lot may be very crowded. We recommend carpooling whenever possible. A security guard will be on-site to help direct traffic, and double parking may be necessary. If you double park, please make sure to move your car as soon as the class ends.
